BASCIVILLE NOTHING SURPRISES ME ANYMORE
Irish duo Basciville (made up of brothers Cillian and Lorcan), have unveiled their new release, ‘Nothing Surprises Me Anymore’. It’s a unique track that opens with a jazzy drum pattern, before introducing a cyclical, Radiohead-esque guitar figure that underpins a crisp, emotive vocal. The track ebbs and flows in intensity, with a change of tempo and vibe guiding it towards a cathartic ending. The Wexford-born duo say that their new song “is about recognising the things we have control over in our day-to-day lives. There's no surprise in how much harder it gets to merely survive, in how alone we are left by the state, but there's beauty in the everyday. It speaks to our sheer will to find joy in what little we are given.” ‘Nothing Surprises Me Anymore’ is lifted from the pair’s long-awaited second album, Love In The Time Of The State, which drops on March 13th, 2026, via Faction Records. -Dan Peeke
